There was formed a workshop on completion of the new edition of “Resolution on Order of Formation and Utilization of Reserves for Indemnification of Losses on Credit Operations” being made up of representatives of the NBU, AUB and those of commercial banks.

February

There was created a workshop on completing the draft of “Concept of Development of the Banking System of Ukraine” involving representatives of the NBU, AUB, directors of commercial banks.

March

There were held panel discussions on the theme “Maintaining Banking Secrecy as to Information about Commercial Activities of Entrepreneurs and Movement on their Accounts”. In the panel discussion sessions took part people’s deputies, the administration of AUB, directors of commercial banks, representatives of the NBU and public organizations of professional market participants and those of the press.

AUB together with the Association of Banks of Greece organized a business game “Essentials of Bank’s Finance Management” which was held in Athens (Greece) with the participation of representatives of commercial banks of Ukraine and those of the NBU.

April

There was created a workshop on completion the draft of the new edition of the Instruction of the NBU “On Order of Regulating Banks’ Activities” with the participation of representatives of the NBU, AUB and those of commercial banks as well as a workshop involving AUB representatives which was set up by the Committee of the Verhovna Rada of Ukraine on Finance and Banking with a view to preparing for the second reading the draft Law of Ukraine “On Liquidation of Taxpayers’ Obligations due to the State Budget and State Special Purpose Funds”.

May

There took place a meeting between the representatives of AUB, those of the Ukrainian Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the NBU, directors of individual banks and enterprises so as to discuss ways of activation of crediting by banks of the real sector of economy.

There was held a meeting between AUB and commercial banks’ representatives and experts of the Council of Europe for the purpose of discussing the issues on combating “money laundering” obtained by felonious means.
