3. Membership in the Association
3.1 Members of the Association can be banks as well as regional bank associations; educational establishments of finance and economy founded in accordance with the effective legislation of Ukraine, which recognize the Statute of the Association, pay entrance and membership fees. Bank and bank institutions set up with the participation of foreign investment and registered according to the effective legislation of Ukraine, which recognize the Statue of the Association, pay entrance and membership fees and which are willing to become its members also can become members of the Association. Procedures of paying membership fees by them are to be determined by the Convention of the Association. Association members in a consultative capacity can be enterprises and organizations acting under an agreement with the Association (or being set up by it) in the interests of banks-AUB members. These enterprises pay their fees in the procedure approved by the Council. Banks, enterprises and organizations being its members retain their economic and financial independence in full.
3.2 Association members exercise their rights and legitimate interests as well as fulfill their duties to the Association direct through their bank director or a representative authorized by him.
3.3 Admission to membership of the Association is effected on the basis of an application compiled according to the sample approved by the Council and written recognition of the Statute of the Association.
3.4 A member of the Association, who violates Ukrainian Law or the Statute of the Association, allows incorrect actions affecting the prestige of the members of the Association, breaches the Code of Honour of the Ukrainian Banker is subject to expulsion from the Association.
The procedure of expulsion is effected in pursuance of the Resolution of the Council of the Association to be further approved by the Convention of the Association.
